The energy intensified, flickering in all directions as Lexx stared at it, mesmerized by the brilliant light and the glowing designs within it. “They can’t do anything to me.” He murmered.
“They could do things to Chel.” Stealth stated gently, tucking her chin against her chest and trying to avoid looking directly at the light. She shook her head, forcing her mane forward to block it further.
Lexx flicked his hand, dissipating the energy back into his body. Small tendrils of smoke wafted in the air, oddly luminescent in the dark room. Lexx dropped his hand, studying Stealth thoughtfully. She lifted her head, staring at Lexx.
“Yes.” Lexx inhaled deeply after a moment. “They would regret it.” He added, his eyes narrowing as his face pulled into a determined scowl. Nobody was going to touch Chel. None of these humans would get away with it. That was something that Lexx was certain about.
