Several minutes later, Lexx took a long look at the closest entry way into his island home. It disgusted him. There were people milling around a more attractive entrance further down the beach. Cheerily bright decorations in golden colors were draped all over the place, and there were glimmering gold orbs floating in the air. So many orbs. So many people.
This place was supposed to have been a private home, a fortress of solitude in a nice tropically warm area, where it rained and his closest neighbors were colorful birds. More work had been done to his home and it irritated Lexx.
“Ugh, what did they do my house?!” Lexx grimaced as they walked closer. Damian was waiting for them and for a brief moment, Lexx realized that he was grateful to him. Damian had kept this entrance clear, knowing it was the place that Lexx would be likely to show up at. He didn’t have to talk to anyone, but still, the decorations!
“You’re early!” Damian greeted the trio, a bounce in his step as he walked up to them.
“This isn’t a joyous affair, Damian.” Lexx scowled at his friend.
“It might be!” Damian protested with a disappointed look.
Sirius and Serenity trotted away from the group without a word, walking quickly across the sand and through the entrance way to Lexx’s home. Swiftpaw stayed by Keith, but gave the two a curious look. Stealth trotted after them, ears back, looking angry.
Lexx stared at the ground, considering Damian’s question. It was annoying to see all the color, because it felt so fake. Were these people here to see him fight or cheer him on to win and not be bound to the game any longer? Why were they here? Lexx looked up at Damian, who was grinning happily at him, always supportive and positive. Damian and likely all of those who called him friend were there to be supportive. Nobody wanted to give room to the possibility that Lexx could die.
“No.” Lexx sighed reluctantly. Seeing silver, a color of mourning, like stars in an ever dark background of space would have been hard to see as anything other than cheering on his death. That’s what dressing in silver signified.

Thank you for another month! I’m still going through a bit of roughness. Our desktop, the primary computer that I tend to use for compiling books and working with lots of files had the hard drive go bad. That wasn’t too much of an issue. We went out and got a new hard drive. The issue came when I tried to recover our files from Crashplan. It’s been a huge mess that ended up renaming a whole bunch of my existing files, meaning I had to go through 10 thousand files (not joking) and delete the duplicates then rename the original files back to what they were. Then I figured out that my onedrive wasn’t actually connected and half that work was for nothing. 😀 Deleted onedrive off the desktop temporarily to fix that issue so it wouldn’t load the changes to my Surface and laptop, but I’m still renaming files. Only lost three hours and still haven’t reinstalled all my software on it. 🙁
Other minor issues happened, but I’m on track to at least get the patreon comics uploaded! I’m not happy about that, but those are my priority, then my primary comics. Next week will be better. 😀 I’ll keep telling myself that, even though I think I’ve been telling myself that since Kim’s surgery back in March. At some point, it WILL BE TRUE!!

Oh, and the next thing I’m going to tackle is making a private password protected wordpress install that you can EASILY read all the comics in order on since I know it’s tricky to do so here. The site will be available to all $3 and up patrons.

Trying something new. This is for Nightmare Nights next month, one of hopefully eight vampire fruit bat infected ponies .:D Done using the lovely watercolors I’ve inked. The original is on watercolor paper to be colored, this is a digital version I’m painting in Manga Studio!
